How To - Get Admin Help

So you're playing on one of the Bunker servers and some user keeps breaking the rules, keeps calling you names, or otherwise keeps being a twit. Before telling you what TO DO, here are a couple things you most definitely should NOT do...

  • Do NOT kill the player if they are on your team - this is against our rules and will lead to your own demise
  • Do NOT leave in a huff - this just lets the twit win
  • Do NOT start throwing around vulgarities - that would just make you look like a twit, also
  • Do NOT threaten the player that you're going to ask for help - it might work, but wouldn't you rather see them busted?

So, here is what you can and should do...

  • Determine the name of the problem player
  • Send a message to the Bunker members /admins that are online (see details below) with the person's name and a brief description of the problem
  • Be patient

To send your message, do the following...

  • Open the console by hitting the key with the tilde on it [~] usually located just to the left of the [1] key
  • Type /m >B< message
  • Substitute your actual message above and then hit enter

What now? As previously requested, be patient. Complaints are taken seriously and are verified before any administrative action is taken. Hey, you'd want the same if someone accused you of being a twit, right?

In some cases you'll get a response from an admin. In other cases the problem will just be quitely dealt with - you may or may not receive a reply telling you as much. If you don't hear anything after a minute or two then send your message again. You might consider changing the message to 'Hey did anyone see my message... I really need some help, please...' so that it gets some attention.

If you've tried sending a couple messages, you haven't heard anything from an admin, and the problem is still occuring then it may be a sign that no administrators are online at the time. On B1 that's pretty rare, but on B10 it's quite common. So now what? Well, if you're not on B1, then try logging on to B1 temporarily and ask an admin there to help you. Be sure to let them know which server you need help on.

If you can't find an admin anywhere then consider Record a Demo of the problem and then posting it. This obviously won't fix the problem while it is happening, but it will allow action to be taken at a later time.
